Costume Lab (Fashion department, UHI Stornoway)
Planning on going to OH!CON in October? Got your ticket? Got your costume sorted?
If you have, fantastic. But if not, come to Costume Lab on Fridays.
You can design, develop and finalise your own idea with support and guidance from the Fashion department lecturers whilst also learning how to use the industrial sewing machines.
- Friday 22 September, 1pm - 5pm : Design & Development
- Friday 29 September, 1pm - 5pm : Costume Sampling and Making
- Friday 6 October, 1pm - 5pm : Costume Making
- Friday 13 October, 1pm - 5pm : Costume Making and Finishing!
- Where: Fashion Studio, NWH (Stornoway College Campus)
- Age: 14 yrs +
- Cost: Free. Use of the machines and tuition/guidance is provided, but you will need to supply the materials for your costume.

Superhero cape design workshop (An Lanntair Creative Workshop)
If you’re going to OH!CON, and haven’t sorted your cosplay yet, design a unique satin cape and eye mask at this fun session with textile artist Eleanor Macdonald.

Stained glass style superheroes (An Lanntair Creative Workshop)
Design and make a large scale fantasy character stained-glass style window from corex sheeting and coloured cellophane. These artworks will be displayed at OH!CON in Lews Castle College.
