Wig workshop
Stornoway Library, Saturday 6th September 2pm.
In this beginner-friendly session, we’ll guide you through the basics of wig preparation, placement, and simple securing techniques so your look stays in place all day. No previous experience needed — we’ll keep it practical and easy to follow.
What we’ll cover:

Prepping your natural hair for a wig (different methods for short and long hair)

Wig cap options and how to use them

How to place a wig correctly

Securing your wig with pins, combs, or clips

Optional: using tape, adhesive, or blending your natural hair if needed

Quick tips on styling, blocking, and storing your wig
Suitable for ages 13 yrs+
Cape-making workshop
Stornoway Library, Saturday 20th September 2pm.
In this hands-on session, we’ll guide you through fabric cutting and beginner-friendly sewing techniques to help you craft your own cape.
What to bring:

2–3 metres of light to medium-weight fabric (cotton, polycotton or fleece are easier to work)

Fabric scissors if you have them (we’ll have a few to share)

Optional: ribbon, buttons, or fastenings if you’d like to customise your cape
The workshop is free but there are limited places, so please book your place in advance.
